2009 Hot Toy List

One of the surprising hot toys of the 2009 Christmas season are the Zhu Zhu Pet Hamsters.  The hamsters come in several colors and there are a variety of accessories available.

The brown Zhu Zhu Pet Hamster, Mr. Squiggles, is a hot commodity.  Unless you happen to be lucky enough to be  at a store right when a shipment come in, you most likely will have to find someone reselling a Zhu Zhu pet on Ebay or Amazon.

Each Zhu Zhu pet hamster makes has it’s own “voice” or set of sounds it makes, each has over 40 different sounds.

It can be set in two different modes:  the “love them” mode where they can be held and petted, and the “explore” mode where they can roam around the house or “play” with their toys.  When they are allowed to roam in their playsets, they make sounds that correspond to the room that they are in, such as cooking in the kitchen, brushing their teeth in the bathroom, etc.
